I purchased a computer monitor is less then 6 months ago and it has gone black. Yes, I did panic, for those of you that were wondering. I have now been on hold for 65 minutes to get information about the warranty and where to ship it.
The initial lady I spoke with said I had to pay to ship it, (to the other side of the US) I have to purchase packing material and I have to pay for insurance on it! It seems like a lot to send the monitor back, but that might be their thought. If they make the consumer pay for all of this to ship it back, you might not do it.
While holding for them to create a file for me to ship it back, it has really got me thinking about how other companies handle warranties. You can almost buy a warranty with everything you purchase.
What experiences have you had with some great companies that have fantastic warranties?
