How Do You Know that the Time Is Right for a Real Estate Assistant?

When you’re working in real estate, there’s going to be a certain amount of time when it feels like you can take on the world. And then, very suddenly it’s going to hit you: there are parts of your job that you just don’t enjoy as much or that are taking up more of your time than you’d like; you’d be able to take on more clients if you didn’t have a few tasks around the office that need to be taken care of. Those are indications that it’s the right time to bring on a real estate assistant.

When you find that you’re overwhelmed and just not enjoying your work as much as you once did, chances are also good that you’re going to feel a little bit stuck. Maybe it’s because your list of leads isn’t as organized as it could be but you’re not familiar with database software; maybe it’s that you have trouble sitting down and talking with your clients because every time you have a meeting, the phone rings and there’s no one there to answer it. Either way, having a real estate assistant on your side can put you in a position to get more done.

Working with the right real estate assistant means taking the time to know your strengths and let someone else pick up the slack from your weaknesses. It means never having to compromise the needs of one client for another or having to keep your attention half on your client and half on the phone (or the icon that pops up to say you’ve got new email). Working with the right real estate assistant – at the right time – means that you’re able to get more done throughout the day.
