When you put a home on the market for one of the sellers that you are working with, you are promising them that you are going to do everything in your power to ensure that prospective buyers know that the home is out there. Your real estate assistant can take the time to look at all of the information about the listing and to ensure that, when those details are posted online, they are all accurate.
Why should you have your real estate assistant focus on the accuracy of your listing details?
One reason is that more and more buyers are starting out by looking online for homes - so much so that Google has even made it possible for homebuyers to search for real estate:
(source)There’s a new option to search for real estate: click on “show search options” and select “real estate” from the drop-down. The search results … come from Google Base. Google shows structured information about houses and lets you refine the results by price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Even if there aren’t too many advanced features, it’s interesting to see that Google Maps wants to index all the information that could be displayed on a map.
Now, not every real estate agent is going to feel great immediately about the idea of buyers who are looking for homes will be searching online, but the reality is that it’s just a part of doing research. When buyers are able to see your listings, they will be able to see where the home is in relation to shopping centers and other places; as a result, in many cases they will be able to answer some of their own initial questions about the property.
Of course, Google maps is only going to work when you can be sure that all of the information is accurate; having a real estate assistant who can ensure accuracy and get all of your listings entered can help you to know that interested buyers can learn more about the property.
