A Real Estate Assistant Will Let Your Clients Know You Work for Them

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

When you are working in real estate, the odds are going to be stacked against you once in a while. Sellers are going to want to be sure that you are doing everything in your power to sell their properties, and buyers everywhere are being warned that their real estate agent might not be working for them. When you don’t get around to making and returning calls, when your web site isn’t updated or emails aren’t answered, buyers and sellers are all going to start wondering whether or not you’re really working for them.

By working with a real estate assistant, you are going to find yourself in a position in which both the buyers and the sellers that you are working with know that you are on their side.

Your real estate assistant will help you to stay in touch with your clients – and help your clients know what you are doing to help them meet their needs. Your real estate assistant will also be able to take calls, provide information and make sure that all of the necessary information is out there to market different properties. Why work against yourself too when a real estate assistant can put you at the top of your game?

NAR National Association of REALTORS(R) 2008 Convention?

Monday, August 18th, 2008

I think I might head down to the NAR convention this year in Orlando FL. with some friends and clients. I went last year and had an amazing time in LV. Met a lot of great agents and saw some really neat products.

This year I am thinking of new creative ways I can promote myself at NAR. I am not the kind that can sit at a booth for 8 hours on end… ( I think I secretly have “EXPO A.D.D.”) I love to walk, talk, learn, and explore so I have amazing things to take back to all of my clients.

What do you think?? Think this will get Real estate agents attention?

Working with a Real Estate Virtual Assistant: Communication Is Key

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Communication is, more or less, the key to having a successful relationship with your real estate virtual assistant. After all, when you’re working with a real estate VA, you’re not going to see one another every day – you may never see one another – and you’re not going to be able to just leave notes on one another’s desk if something comes up.

Working with a real estate virtual assistant is going to rely on a number of things:

  1. You’re going to need to know what you expect of your virtual assistant and you’re going to need to be sure that she knows what is expected with a given project
  2. You’re going to want to focus on listening to the questions and suggestions that your real estate virtual assistant has for you; there may be areas of your business in which she has ideas for making things go a bit more smoothly
  3. You’re going to want to find a great way of connecting. Whether you use chat programs to connect with one another or you rely on phone conversations and email, it’s good to have a sense of what to expect and of how frequently you will connect.

In each of those cases, communication is one of the most important elements; whether you’re looking to change something or your real estate VA has a question or suggestion, it’s important that you both know how to talk with one another. By setting up a communication game plan, you can be sure that neither of you feel disconnected.

Your Real Estate Assistant and Listing Coordination

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

One of the things that you need to be sure of as a real estate agent is that, when you add a listing to the MLS, everything is in order. The web details are accurate, the contact information is correct and that you’re doing what you can to stay on top of the process from start to finish. The challenge is that not everyone can focus on listing coordination while you are working with other buyers and sellers.

Even though listing coordination is so important in your business, there’s a risk that you’ll overlook something in the process – unless of course you know that you’re working with a real estate assistant who can stay on top of the process for you.

When you know that your real estate assistant can update listings in the MLS, that she can focus on creating the right print materials, and focus on marketing on your website and blog, you’ll be in a position in which you can focus on other parts of your business. Ultimately, that’s the reason why real estate agents do choose to work with assistants: they know that having a real estate assistant who can help them to market homes allows them to focus on other elements of their business without letting something slip through the cracks.

A Real Estate Assistant Can Manage Your Web Content

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

These days, websites aren’t what they used to be. You can’t just build a website and expect that site to keep working to bring clients into your real estate business – you need to keep your web content fresh.

The problem is that not every real estate agent is going to be tech-savvy. The solution – whether you need someone to update your content because it’s not something you know how to do or because it’s just something that you don’t have the time to do – is to bring on a real estate assistant to manage the site for you.

Take for example your new listings: your real estate assistant can make sure that they make it up onto your website so that buyers can find out the details right away. As for properties that have sold or listings that have expired, your real estate assistant can remove them from the site.

Similarly, your real estate assistant can work to include great photos, information about your business, a blog that’s updated daily and more to your website. She can even work to create surveys and forms and compile a mailing list right from your website, making it easy for you to generate more leads and grow your business.

Why settle for a lackluster site with out of date information? Bring on a real estate assistant and put your website to work for you.

Hiring a Virtual Assistant for a Real Estate Broker?

Monday, June 4th, 2007

If you’re going to be hiring a virtual assistant for a real estate broker – a VA who has specialized in helping those in the real estate business – it’s a good plan to make sure they can help you to grow your business.

Ask them whether or not they have experience with listing coordination, creating marketing materials and working with real estate brokers and their clients. Ask them if they already have a plan based on experiences with past clients or expired properties.

Some will, some won’t.

However, if you really mesh with a VA who has a little bit less experience, there is an option: invest in a DIY package from Assistant for Real Estate. We’ve got action plans for working with past clients, getting through the closing, converting FSBO sellers into clients and even internet marketing.

Our plans helped to bring our clients to the top of the field and they can work for you too. Of course, if you don’t want to do it yourself, we’re here to help.

Using Technology to Make Time for Realtors

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Virtual Assistants put time into Realtors busy schedule

Time is the most valuable of commodities – how you use it determines your success in all things, not least in terms of business success.

Once time has been used you don’t get it back – life is not a rehearsal – so finding time to put into your schedule is probably the most tangible benefit that a virtual assistant can provide you with.

Top realtors know that to be successful and to remain so, they must focus on what they do best and especially on what produces the revenue – listing homes and finding buyers for them.

Everything else is non-productive activity that if at all possible should be delegated away and managed. Virtual assistants have developed as technology, and especially the internet, have revolutionized how we communicate. Now there is little that cannot be achieved by a virtual assistant supporting a realtor no matter where that virtual assistant is located.

What the technology is does not really matter – it is what the virtual assistant can deliver by effective use of technology that does – it is called time, irreplaceable time.
